New Features
Simplified navigation
The new navigation hierarchy is simpler and displays what is contextually relevant. Access to the most used elements is achieved through tabbed navigation, which is consistent throughout the site. These improvements reduce cognitive load and enable educators and students to easily find what they are looking for, when they need it.
An improved course page and revamped dashboard
The course page now clearly displays relevant information and the required actions for each activity. Students can also collapse or expand sections within the course pages to focus on specific pieces of content or activities.
The revamped dashboard welcomes the student and summarizes important tasks within a timeline with clear call-to-action buttons. The dashboard includes a unique calendar view of requirements that students can import or export to other calendars.
New Additions
A key improvement in Moodle 4.0 is the addition of a new collapsible and expandable Course Outline on the course page, which educators can use to drag and reposition activities within a course.
Another new collapsible and expandable component on the right side of the screen allows students to choose to collapse or expand blocks, enabling them to reduce visual clutter and focus on the relevant learning.
Additionally, “My Courses” is a new dedicated and independent page that helps educators and students quickly search, view, and navigate among all their courses.
